What if your tea could offer, not only a unique flavour, but a rich experience that bridges tradition and modern lifestyle? O2H TEA is doing just that, with teas carefully crafted and pressed into dried tangerines for an aromatic, healthful twist. But who are the minds behind this one-of-a-kind tea experience? We sat down with the founders of O2H TEA, Tony, to learn more about the journey, the passion, and the vision that drive their unique tea brand.
What inspired you to start your brand? What was your initial vision?
The inspiration for O2H TEA blossomed from the founder’s lifelong passion for tea and a deep appreciation of traditional Asian tea ceremonies. Having experienced tea culture across China, Korea, Japan, and beyond, Tony saw an opportunity to create a brand that would make tea relevant and accessible to all ages, bridging the cultural gap between traditional tea and today’s popular beverages like bubble tea.
“My vision for O2H TEA is to harmonize the best of traditional and modern tea experiences—bringing East and West together through flavors that are both enjoyable and healthful.”
O2H TEA strives to bring beautifully packaged, high-quality teas into people’s daily routines, creating an enjoyable experience for everyone—from long-time tea enthusiasts to those just beginning to explore this age-old ritual.
What ingredients do you use? Why are they important to the brand?
The O2H TEA team carefully selects natural, premium ingredients from around the world, choosing each element not only for its taste but also for its health benefits. Tony emphasizes the importance of authentic flavours and wellness in their tea-making process, ensuring that each cup reflects a harmony between nature and culture.
“We use high-quality tea leaves, natural fruits, and aromatic flowers. Each ingredient is selected to bring a balanced, enjoyable tea experience that aligns with a healthy lifestyle.”
This commitment to quality is especially evident in their signature Tangerine Teas, where premium tea leaves are delicately hand-stuffed into sun-dried tangerines. Not only does this blend provide a distinct flavour, but it also carries natural oils and antioxidants from the tangerine peel, making every sip an infusion of taste and wellness.
What is the one product you wish more customers know about?
Among O2H TEA’s offerings, Tony is especially passionate about their Tangerine Tea collection. Crafted through a meticulous process of hand-stuffing tea into whole dried tangerines, these teas combine the tradition of Chinese medicine with a modern tea experience. Each tangerine tea ball is sun-dried over several months, creating a blend that can be steeped throughout the day, offering both flavour and convenience.
“The tangerine itself has been used in Chinese medicine for centuries. It’s rich in natural oils and antioxidants. We spent a long time finding the perfect high-quality teas to complement this tangerine. Each tea ball is handmade and can be brewed for a whole day, offering a fun and unique tasting experience.”
Tea is a great way of relaxing after a long day. How do you unwind after a busy workday?
As a dedicated entrepreneur and father of two, Tony finds relaxation in the ritual of tea itself. With a traditional tea set at home, he begins each day by brewing a fresh pot before starting work. After a long day, tea becomes a way to unwind, often paired with a book or a quiet moment.
“I don’t have much free time, but every night, once the kids are asleep, I sit down with my tea, read a book, or watch a movie and complete my tea ceremony. It’s a peaceful end to a busy day.”
If you had to eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
If given the choice to eat one meal forever, Tony's answer is simple: a spicy bowl of noodles. Growing up in a town known for its love of noodles and spice, he’s a self-proclaimed noodle enthusiast with a taste for heat!
“A bowl of spicy noodles is in my blood. I grew up on it, and it’s still my favorite comfort food.”
And one last question: How would you customise your Ramen Kit?
Spicy Mushroom with Spinach Noodles. Or Miso with Regular Noodles!
