With a distinctive flavour, Star Anise is one of the main ingredients in Chinese Five Spice. It is used to marinate meats, roast duck, added to make broth of Vietnamese Pho or cooked in Taiwanese Lu Rou Fan (Braised Pork). It can also to be made into tea, or garnish a cocktail.
