The most basic cold soba noodles is called Mori / Zaku Soba and is served with a dipping sauce made from soup stock, mirin or water. 1 serve is approximately 90g.

To prepare cold soba, simply cook the noodles in boiling water for 6 to 7 minutes, or until noodles are al dente. Place noodles into a cold bath. Garnish with chopped onion, sesame seeds, strips of seaweed.
