Always a bit sad about how flavourless the mushrooms are in Australia (dried or seasonal artisan ones from Tassie excepted - but $$$$) - add a teaspoon of this to your local ones during the frying (before your toast/risotto/curry/pasta/etc) and they have a longer stronger taste. Cheaper than powdering your dried porcini (or soaking them for hours but still getting rubbery gritty ****) - and of course - it works in woks as well - if you cook that way

Been chucking a teaspoon into everything from kimchi stews to miso soup. It makes everything taste better! Also my daughter likes the taste of mushrooms but hates actual mushrooms so this has been great for her.
