Viral Dumpling Lasagna

Is it a dumpling? Is it a lasagna? It's both! The composition of a lasagna with the components of a dumpling. So quick, so easy. Mid-week dinner approved.

Ingredients

  • 4 Dried Shiitake Mushrooms
  • 5 prawns, shell off
  • Spring onions
  • 200g minced pork
  • 2 tsp of Spicy Mushroom Blend
  • 2 tsp of soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp of sesame oil
  • A dash of white pepper
  • 6 dumpling skins
  • 2 tbsp of black vinegar (or to taste)
  • 2 tsp of chilli oil (or to taste)

Method

  1. Soak dried shiitake mushrooms in water for about 10 minutes, or until they are soft. Save some water about 3 tbsp for later.
  2. Mince the prawns. Cut shiitake mushrooms and spring onions into small pieces. Save some spring onions for garnish later.
  3. Mix minced prawns, shiitake mushrooms and spring onions with minced pork in a bowl.
  4. Season with Spicy Mushroom Blend, soy sauce, sesame oil, white pepper and water from the mushrooms. Mix well.
  5. In a small bowl, layer 1 tbsp of pork mix. Even out the pork mix to over the surface of the bowl. If you are using a bigger bowl, use more pork mix.
  6. Layer 1 dumpling skin over the pork mix. Repeat with the pork mix, then layer with 1 dumpling skin again. We made 3 layers. Finish off with dumpling skin.
  7. Steam for 8 minutes, or until cooked.
  8. Remove from steamer. Garnish with spring onion, vinegar and chilli oil.
  9. Take a pic, then enjoy immediately.
